WORKOUT 11.1
Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 10 minutes of:
30 Double-unders
15 Power snatches 75/55
in 2011 they didn’t have a scaled division. But now we know that snatches are hard for people. They take a little while to learn. Work through the skill and try to learn some things you can pick up for 11.1. If the snatch feels heavy at those weights try dropping it to an empty bar and get in good reps there. Don’t drop weight and just get away with bad technique. If it still isn’t coming to you or you lack range of motion then switch to a clean and jerk so you can get your bar from ground to overhead.
Double Unders are one of those nagging skills that we avoid addressing. Try doing 15 double under attempts or give yourself :60 to get as many as you can after each set of power snatch. We can always fall back to leg slaps, 2:1 singles or bar jump overs if need be. Ask your coach which is best!
